old bronze weatherstripping & copper cuff lined with teal rcycled leather

I’m really proud how this piece turned out.  The main ingredient in this cuff is bronze weatherstripping from 20+ years ago that my hubby found in the basement of our first house .  (you would be amazed at the things we found in that basement over the years, most of which we have no idea how it got there.  Joys of old house ownership!)
The bronze strip had interesting lines in it and the beginning of old age patina.  I just knew it screamed, "repurpose me into beautiful jewelry!!"  

   I added additional texture with Embossing and heat treated to deepen the patina. It's lined in high quality leather scrape from a purse maker... it's a beautiful light teal color.

It’s very light and flexible, so I used 14 GA copper wire to reinforce it, and sewed it altogether with 22 GA bronze wire.  It's still flexible but it holds it shape.  It will be easy to gently shape this to your wrist.. This cuff is a conversation piece!

Bracelet is approximately 8 inches / can fit 7-8 inch
