the centerpiece of this necklace is a bike emblem - Nymans Verkstäder is the company.
this is a Norwegian bike company that existed between 1899 and 1947. that's about all I could find on the internet about this, which I got in a mixed lot of bike emblems from Europe about 10 years ago.
I just love the imagery of it! It was pretty damaged, so I repainted to match the original colors and then sealed it. I strategically placed a gear to hide the worst-damaged spot. The big gear behind the emblem is from a clock, and the wings have watch/ pocket watch gears and a face.
the little drop in front is a relic, probably catholic?
pendant is approximately 7 by 6 inches, the chain is 21 inches. let me know if you need this adjusted further.
